TreeShop ("we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the TreeShop iOS mobile application (the "App").
By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, please do not use the App.
Information We Collect
Information You Provide
When you use the TreeShop App, you may provide the following information:
- Organization information (business name, address, contact details)
- User profile information (name, email address, role)
- Equipment details (purchase information, costs, specifications)
- Employee information (names, positions, wage rates)
- Customer information (names, addresses, contact details, project details)
- Project data (property addresses, service types, pricing calculations)
- Proposal and invoice information
- Photos and documents related to projects
Automatically Collected Information
The App currently operates entirely offline and locally on your device. We do not automatically collect usage data, analytics, or device information. All data is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework.
In future updates when cloud sync is enabled, we may collect:
- Device information (model, operating system version)
- Usage data (features used, time spent in app)
- Error logs and crash reports to improve app stability
Location Information
The App does not currently collect or track your device's location. When you enter property addresses for projects, these are stored locally as text and may be used to calculate drive times (future feature). No real-time location tracking is performed.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information you provide to:
- Provide core app functionality (pricing calculations, project management)
- Store your business data locally on your device
- Generate proposals, quotes, and invoices
- Calculate project pricing based on equipment, labor, and project parameters
- Help you manage customers, projects, and workflow stages
- Provide customer support and respond to your inquiries
- Improve the App's features and user experience
- Send important updates about the App (when you opt-in)
Data Storage and Security
Local Storage
Currently, all your data is stored locally on your iOS device using Apple's SwiftData framework. Your data never leaves your device and is protected by your device's security features (passcode, Face ID, Touch ID). We do not have access to your data, and it is not transmitted to any servers.
Future Cloud Sync
When cloud sync features are released, your data will be stored securely using industry-standard encryption:
- Data encrypted in transit using TLS/SSL
- Data encrypted at rest on secure cloud servers
- Multi-tenant isolation to ensure data privacy between organizations
- Regular security audits and updates
- Secure authentication using industry-standard protocols
Data Retention
Since data is stored locally on your device, you have complete control over data retention. You can delete your data at any time by deleting the App from your device. When cloud sync is enabled, you will be able to delete your account and all associated data from our servers through the App settings.
Information Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:
- With Your Consent: When you explicitly authorize us to share information (e.g., when generating proposals to send to customers)
- Service Providers: With trusted third-party service providers who assist in operating the App (e.g., cloud hosting, payment processing) - only when cloud features are enabled
- Legal Requirements: When required by law, court order, or government request
- Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets (you will be notified and can choose to delete your data)
- Protection of Rights: To protect the rights, property, or safety of TreeShop, our users, or others

You have the following rights regarding your personal information:
- Access: Request access to the personal information we hold about you
- Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information
- Deletion: Request deletion of your personal information (currently by deleting the App)
- Data Portability: Request a copy of your data in a portable format (future feature)

Third-Party Services
The App currently does not integrate with any third-party services. Future versions may include:

When third-party services are integrated, they will be governed by their respective privacy policies. We will update this policy to reflect any changes and notify users.
Children's Privacy
The App is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately at support@treeshop.app and we will delete such information.
California Privacy Rights (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):
